VeVaio Terms of Use
Using VeVaio’s innovative systems, we collect and process information that is measured and generated by wearable and non-wearable devices such as smart watches, fitness bracelets, etc., or through other smart devices (such as smart scales, digital blood pressure monitors, etc.). These advanced devices that measure and record various medical parameters, and fitness and nutrition data, etc., examples of the types of information collected and processed to produce professional insights include step count, calorie burn rate, significant medical indicators such as: Blood pressure, pulse, body temperature, blood oxygen level (saturation), EKG, monitoring and documentation of physical activities and sleep, etc.
Most of VeVaio’s services are based on this data, which is gathered on a variety of smart products, the Company respects your privacy and aims to offer you a pleasant and safe customer experience. Through this notice we want to make clear the nature of the services and products we provide and the various work processes included in the business contract with the Company. The legal basis for a business contract between you and the Company, including all the various authorizations for sharing and processing personal data, constitutes a legal contractual agreement between the parties.

When we use the name VeVaio we refer to the Company – VeVaio Connect LTD and its subsidiaries. Therefore, when you use VeVaio’s services or products, your information may also be used by one or more of VeVaio’s subsidiaries and business partners.

1. About the Company's services and products
VeVaio is essentially a cloud-based information collection and sharing service, which deals with the collection, processing and accessibility of information in the fields of health and fitness, in addition to an internet-based service that connects Users to professionals and experts who have received approval and permission to view the collected data, in order to help maintain our services for Users and improve a healthy and optimal lifestyle. By improving the synchronization of the information received from the connected devices, including the various measures and indicators for monitoring activity, health and fitness indicators, together with the relevant professionals according to the User’s choice and authorization, the application allows for, among other things, the ability to monitor training, processes and various health and fitness indicators, data regarding your physical activity and sleep patterns, etc.
VeVaio Connect works together with your product(s) and can also be used as your automatic health journal where your training, activity, health measurements and sleep data are synced directly from your device to your User account. The system allows the various professionals and experts to monitor and analyze your progress, and to extract significant information with the help of maximizing the information collected by the sensors and the technological capabilities of the various devices. By making the experience of monitoring your physical fitness, and the constantly changing medical and health conditions easy and smooth, the User receives direct and optimal connection with a variety of providers and experts in the various fields of treatment / fitness and sports / medicine and health / nutrition, etc., and can derive powerful and significant value from the device and its capabilities
2. Registration and agreements
Before you can start using the service, you must first create a User account through a registration process. As part of the registration process, we ask for you to agree to our terms of use and privacy policy. These agreements are also required in order to comply with the requirements of the laws of multiple jurisdictions related to the protection of privacy. If you do not want to give your consent to one or more of the mandatory agreements, we will not be able to offer you the Company’s services and products.
The agreements are individual, and by giving your consent you actually give permission to handle your data only for the purpose specified in that consent.
Before signing up for VeVaio Connect, you must read the service’s terms of use and the service’s privacy policy. You will be asked to consent to the terms of use of the service. By accepting the terms of use, you enter into an agreement with VeVaio Connect. We will also ask you to indicate that you have read and agreed to the ‘Privacy Policy. As mentioned, these agreements are necessary so that we can provide you with all the Company’s services and products
After you have registered for VeVaio services, you can also manage your account settings through the website at: account.VeVaio.com. There you can also manage your agreements and permissions and your personal settings and preferences. You can also change your email address and your password. Additionally through the personal account page: account.VeVaio.com – the Company also offers you tools to share your data or delete your data and/or account.
3. Consent to the handling of personal data
In order to enable the provision of the Company’s services, we ask for your consent to handle your personal information. This information includes the data you provide during registration such as: email, name, age, height, gender, training background and location. This data is used so that we can provide you with accurate personal calculations (such as calorie burn, step count, etc.), training feedback and different physical conditions, which can also help, among other things, to better different types of training and treatments. You are not obliged to provide your real name during registration, but the name you give is the one that will be shown if you share your data with a therapist, trainer or other expert, as well as when you comment on any of our community pages.
We use your location data primarily to identify your language. Location information is also used to route your customer service requests to your local customer service location so that you receive support with the correct language.
Your email address is your account name and we may use your email to identify you later if you contact our customer service. For this, please use an email address that you have access to and that is operational (not an alias). We will also send all important notifications to this email. You can change your email address at any time, so you are not obligated to use the email address you provide us during registration.
In order to enable the provision of the Company’s services in an optimal way, we also ask for your consent to handle sensitive personal data. Sensitive data may include heart rate data, blood pressure data and other medical and personal health data we receive from the devices or sensors you use. Most of the services offered by VeVaio Connect are actually based on this data, and without this data the service cannot be provided properly.
We also ask for your consent to the transfer of your data to a country other than your own. VeVaio Connect uses cloud servers for data storage provided by third parties to produce our services, and these servers may be located within the European Union / European Economic Area and/or the United States or outside of it. The actual User data is stored on these servers and this data may include your email or User ID data. You can read more about data transfer and information security mechanisms in our privacy policy.
4. Registering and opening an account for the Company's services
After registration, you will be sent a message to verify your email address and to confirm and verify the details provided during registration and opening the created account. The opening of the account must be verified within 30 days. If the account is not verified within this time frame, the account will be completely deleted from the system automatically.
For children under the age of 13 we are prevented at this stage from providing a service. (For more details, see our Privacy Policy)
When creating the User account, your privacy settings remain in “Private” mode by default and your information is not shown to other Users.
VeVaio is not responsible for customers’ shared data once it is transferred outside of our system, and we no longer have any responsibility for such data. You are responsible for managing the information you share or transfer outside of the system, so we suggest you read third-party privacy statements carefully.
5. Data use policy for research, development and marketing purposes
As VeVaio Connect strives to continuously develop and improve its services, the data stored in the VeVaio Connect service may also be used for research and development of other products and services. The above information may also be used for marketing messaging if you have given permission for this at the time of registration or at a later date. These marketing messages are usually targeted at a specific age group, a certain location group, a certain sports group, or a group of Users of a certain product.
Currently and while you are using the system, the information is saved and stored as part of the VeVaio Connect service until you close your account. If you withdraw any of the binding consents or do not verify your email address, your account will be locked for 30 days and then put into a removal process where your account and all your data will be permanently deleted after 30 days. 6. VeVaio Connect mobile app
To use the VeVaio Connect mobile app, you must first create an account and Username to log into the app. All your health and fitness data is transmitted directly to the VeVaio Connect service servers and there is no dynamic data or information stored in the application itself.
Certain settings that may affect your User experience and privacy when using the VeVaio Connect app are phone related. A good example of this is notifications: if you want to enable them on your device, your phone settings should be set to enable notifications. Please learn the settings on your phone and select the ones that work best for you.
VeVaio Connect uses third-party technology tools to collect data about the use of our applications to improve our products and services, and to upgrade your customer experience and respond more quickly to any problems that may occur. This data is analytical in nature and does not contain personal data. The data we collect includes the duration of the sync and whether it succeeded or failed, the features used within the app, potential app crash details and new product listings. For more information see our privacy policy or you can contact our customer service. The VeVaio Connect app is available on the Google Play Store, the App Store and the AppGallery. When downloading the app from any of these stores, you are subject to the rules and regulations the store provides. VeVaio Connect is responsible for collecting and processing the data through the app itself, not for downloading the app from the store.
When you use the map services of the VeVaio Connect app, you connect to a third-party service. Always pay attention to the private messages you receive when activating or using the system. For this purpose, the Company uses only reliable partners with a good reputation and excellent quality levels such as Google, Amazon and Microsoft.
7. VeVaio Connect for Business (B2B)
VeVaio Connect for Business is a cloud-based service that gives therapists, healthcare providers, group managers and professionals in the field of health / sports and fitness / nutrition and more, easy and optimal access to the various activity and health data of their clients. Through multiple functions included in the system and innovative dashboards for medical and business management of the various patient groups, including activity and training logs, planning tools, reports and performance statistics, etc., through the Company’s unique dashboard.
The monitoring professionals/experts/trainers can track their clients’ progress, compliance with the goals of various treatment plans, effectiveness and effect of diet and medication changes, etc., and give them guidance and feedback in real time and in a convenient and immediate manner. The Users and athletes give the acCompanying professionals/coaches direct access to their personal data, thus upgrading the professional communication capabilities between the different types of Users of the application. This professional relationship is also based on an agreement to share information between the parties through the use of the VeVaio system platform. As mentioned, any User of the application can change the types of permissions and authorizations for viewing his or her personal information and refuse to give access to his data at any time. 8. Support and customer service
VeVaio Connect customer service helps you with any problem you have with our products or services. Our customer service maintains two records: a contact form and a service call form.
The customers fill in the necessary information in the forms themselves and the information sent through this form is saved in the customer service system of the Company or of a third party (when the third party in this case is only a service provider).
- Contact form:
The information entered in this form may be transferred to a third party customer service system used by VeVaio Connect. This system is available to all the Company’s customer service personnel and the data recorded in the system is stored on the Company’s servers as detailed in the privacy statement. In this form, you are asked to provide your contact information (such as email address and country) to enable us to respond to your question. Your information is treated confidentially, and customer service providers do not have access to the actual data. The information is stored for 3 years, unless local legislation requires longer storage, or you request to delete the data. VeVaio Connect uses Google’s reCaptcha system in the contact form for security and authentication.
- Service call form:
The information registered in this form is used for technical problems, such as problems connecting the device to the application, questions regarding devices purchased through the Company’s website, for sending invoices and payments, for help in connecting to professionals, for sending automatic email messages regarding the progress and completion of the service, and for submitting other general requests related to Company service and products. The data from this form is transferred to the VeVaio Connect global service system. The address information is also transferred to external postal or delivery services for the purpose of delivering the products. The information is stored for 3 years, unless local legislation requires a longer storage period
- How to manage and document service calls Every call and contact with VeVaio Connect customer service may be recorded in some countries. The number you are calling from is recorded in our customer service system and the phone system. The message log is kept for six months. VeVaio Connect customer service can also be contacted via social media channels (Twitter, Facebook and Google Play) and via chat service (not available in all countries). These contact types are also recorded in the customer service system.
After you have been in contact with our customer service or repairs and given us your email address, we may send you an NPS (Net Promoter Score) questionnaire afterwards. We send NPS questionnaires to get feedback from our customers. With customer feedback, we essentially examine, test and improve our services.
9. Device and product purchases on the VeVaio.com trade sites
The VeVaio.com website is a commercial website that offers information about VeVaio Connect and its products, services and collaboration partners. You do not need to register or provide any information about yourself to use the site. However, VeVaio Connect uses cookies to collect information about website traffic. For more information about cookies see here.
On the site you can also subscribe to blogs, forums and newsletters offered on the site. To register on the VeVaio.com website , you must provide personal details and your email address.
You can cancel the various subscriptions and programs offered on the website at any time by following the cancellation or removal instructions that appear in the newsletter.
You can also buy the products offered for sale on the VeVaio Connect website through the links provided on the website.
The VeVaio Connect webshop is a retail service where you can buy a product as a registered customer or as a guest. The Company’s online stores follow and fulfill the requirements of the information and data security standard of the payment card clearing systems (PCI DSS).
To enable the purchase and delivery of the product, we request for and store the address details you provide and your email address so that we can update you on the progress of the delivery. We will also contact you at your email address to request feedback about your customer experience, as well as to improve our service and your User experience.
If you create a customer account in connection with placing an order, we store this data to assist with further purchases for 3 years or as required by law.
The actual payment is made through a third-party online payment system, and is made directly by the customer through the online payment services provided by the payment system providers. Company employees will not be involved at any stage in terms of receiving payments directly, and the only information saved in our system is related to the details of the order itself.
Purchase details are stored for 3 years, unless local legislation requires longer storage.

10. External retail web stores and distributors
Retail and distributor web shops are platforms where VeVaio Connect retailers and distributors can place their orders. To use the VeVaio Connect Retail or Distributor Web Store, Retailers and Distributors will obtain account information from VeVaio Connect or they can create one or more User accounts themselves.
The only personal information collected is the name of the retail or distributor contact and the email address associated with each User account. Each retailer and distributor can manage their own User accounts on the retail or distributor webshop: This includes creating and deactivating their User accounts. Legal basis for data processing of the aforementioned personnel is the performance of a contract.
11. The ways in which we collect data
When you create a User account for the use of our services, we request personal information (for example, your name, email address, gender and age). The above information is used to improve the services provided to you by us and by third parties that you have selected and approved as noted above.
When you use our services, we collect and store information about you and may share or provide access to this information to third parties, subject to your approval. This information may be collected directly from the device or indirectly by the information management system of the device or the platform you use, and to which you have consented that the Company use for the purpose of collecting data.
The User may limit the scope and type of information collected by the Company, in accordance with the settings of the platform or device from which the information is collected, if any. In order to collect the information, the User must register and sign up to the Company’s service, either by downloading the mobile application, or by registering through the Company’s website, and following the registration process in which the User will be requested to provide his or her email address, as well as other personal details such as age and gender. The Company will request the User’s permission to access information collected about him or her through devices or platforms from which the User wishes to receive and collect information by the Company.
With the User’s approval for the collection and storage of such information, the Company will begin to collect and store the aforementioned information. In some cases, the Company may direct the User to third-party platforms, from which the User wishes that information be provided to the Company, in order to grant permission to the Company for data collection on those platforms.
If you use one of our fee-based services, the system may save your payment method details, with your permission, in order to facilitate future payments. This information is stored in an encrypted format on a third party system. We select our service providers with maximum care and professionalism and ensure that they meet the strictest requirements and highest standards for safe and reliable handling of information set for that sector. When processing payment details, we Company with the relevant legislation and the terms and conditions established and monitored by payment service providers in each and every country in which we operate, as required by local laws.
12. The ways in which we store information
The Company uses third-parties that provide data warehouse management services in cloud settings, in a secure manner, in order to store the personal data collected about you. All the information that is collected is stored in these systems, and protected under access privileges and secure passwords by third-party Companyanies specializing in information security.
In the context of information security, there may be risks involved in the delivery of personal data, whether in person, over the phone or via the internet or other technologies, and no system or technology is completely safe or immune to “sabotage”/”hackers”. VeVaio uses third parties with technical and organized security means (such as encryption means), as well as additional precautions to collect and process data, and in order to prevent unauthorized access to your personal data.
VeVaio websites that support online transactions use industry-standard security measures to protect the confidentiality and security of these transactions (such as SSL authentication) in order to ensure that your credit card details, as well as other personal data submitted as part of the transaction process, are properly secure and protected from third-party interception.
When you sign up for a service that may require information to be transferred to another country for processing, we request your permission for such a transfer. In general, when transferring your personal data outside the region where you receive the service, we apply the terms of the relevant agreements based on the standard regulatory clauses of the country of origin.
When the data is transferred as mentioned above, the transfer is made only for the purpose of providing the specific service required. Your data will not be disclosed or given to any third parties, and will still remain under your ownership. For more information about data transfer and related security measures, see our FAQ section. 13. The period of time in which we collect and save information
We wish to keep our database up-to-date, so we regularly delete out-of-date and unnecessary personal information. We only update the information as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law.
As a general rule regarding most of VeVaio’s services, the User can manage his or her personal information by himself or herself. We recommend that you check the accuracy of your information from time to time and correct it when necessary. The User himself or herself is responsible for the accuracy of the information he or she provides.
The Company collects the information for the duration of the period approved by the User. At the same time, the Company reserves the right not to store collected information for a period longer than 3 years. Historical records that were collected by the Company during the initial registration process or afterwards are also kept for the aforementioned period of time, and regarding these records, the Company reserves the right not to keep information for a period of more than 3 years from first receiving said information. If the User decides to cancel his or her subscription to the Company’s service, then by default the information will be deleted automatically within 30 days of the termination of the contract between the parties, unless otherwise required by law. 14. Permissions regarding viewing and access to the collected information
The list of parties who are allowed to view the information collected about you is limited and narrowed down to parties who have been exclusively approved by you, and who have agreed to receive the permission to view said information as previously mentioned. In general, the Company operates a double approval system, in which both you and the party which you have requested to approve for viewing the information, must affirm their permission to view the information and approve the types of information relevant for viewing regarding that expert / therapist. If the third party that you requested be allowed to view the data did not agree to receive permission for such viewing, the party will not be entitled to view any information about you. When requesting the approval to give permission to a third party to access that information about you, you will be asked to select the area of information that you are authorizing for viewing by that specific third party.
The Company, through its technological system, makes the relevant information accessible for viewing to the relevant parties according to the permissions as mentioned above through technological means including websites and web applications and mobile applications for the purpose of viewing and monitoring the information.
In general, the Company’s default position is not to provide or make available to third parties any access (including API) to download your information. Any downloading of information to third party computers in accordance with the permissions approved by you for professional needs, is done at the party’s own discretion.
The various sectors for which the service is mainly (but not only) intended are: Doctors and specialists, medical centers, geriatric centers, emergency medical centers, pharmaceutical companies, equipment manufacturers, nutritionists, fitness trainers, etc. The above does not exclude your right to share information with other parties, provided that they are also registered for the Company’s service.
Also, the Company may share information with more than one party, and this by virtue of your express request.
Any third party that is allowed to view information about you must be a registered User of the Company in accordance with the regulations and privacy policy below.
15. Sale of collected information
VeVaio does not sell the information collected about you to any external party.
The business model by which the Company operates is the sale of monthly subscriptions or another payment format that includes payment for the Company’s services and products that include the ability to share, access, and view the relevant information as stated above, by third parties approved by you. Said payment can be collected from you or from third parties who have been approved by you, in accordance with the Company’s discretion and the various subscription plans.
A third party who has not been approved by you, will not receive access to view information about you, and the Company will not grant approval or such access to an unapproved party, neither for free nor for a fee.
At any time, the information about you remains your property, and you may order the Company to stop sharing it, cancel all or part of the permissions to third parties, as well as cancel your subscription to the Company’s services. The Company will not store the information if you cancel the subscription, and it does not claim ownership of the information, in whole or in part.

As a general rule, you always have the right to access your personal information and you own it. Regarding most of the services that the Company offers, there is a possibility of direct access to the personal information that has been collected.
16. The rights of Users of the Company's services
You have the right to know what information is collected about you, what that information is used for, and the parties, if any, to whom said information is disclosed. We may need to request additional information to verify your identity and to fulfill your request and/or change your authorizations and/or personal settings as you choose.
VeVaio may process your personal information when the processing is based on a legitimate interest. We use this legal basis in some cases for our research and development activities, as we constantly strive to develop and improve the various services offered to our Users. At any time, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal information for these purposes. You can withdraw your consent to the handling of your data for research and development purposes in your account settings on the personal profile page, or by contacting / sending a request to our customer service representatives.
You have the right to correct, edit or delete any of your information by doing so directly on one of the platforms where VeVaio’s services are offered (or by accessing account.VeVaio.com), if you want to delete your information, you can do so in your personal profile section on the mobile or web application. We will then delete your User credentials and all the information and data concerning you, including your data from all the services you used. The deleted data cannot be recovered. After we have deleted your information, you will only be able to use the service by creating a new User account. It is possible that some of your data, such as the registration and purchase data, will be kept for a certain period according to the requirements and provisions of the law.
You have the right to receive your information from VeVaio’s systems in a readable format when the processing of your information is based on your consent or the execution of the agreement. The aforementioned right to view data only applies to the data provided by you, and not to the derived data that has been manipulated with VeVaio’s algorithms and used in our service.
17. Saving information anonymously without identifying information
The Company reserves the right to collect and store information about the Users of its services, anonymously, without personal identification information (name, address, identification number, email address and password, etc.).
The Company may use such information to improve the service it provides, for marketing purposes, for research and development purposes and for other needs. In order to offer our customers the latest knowledge in the form of the latest devices and services, we may need data from our customers. The aforementioned customer data used for research and development purposes are de-identified to the maximum extent possible.
Researching and making sports, health and health science metrics accessible is at the core of everything we do at VeVaio. In order to improve the Company’s capabilities and services, we may use an internal or external research center which includes experts from various fields, including biology, physiology, fitness and sports trainers, various experts in the fields of health, data science, etc. Therefore, for development purposes, internal research may be done by VeVaio to develop new technologies, products and services and to improve existing ones, including new algorithms that are being developed and tested. In this manner, customer data without identifying information may be used, for example, in order to detect anomalies in software, and/or to find and locate devices that may not be working properly. These results are not shared outside the Company or published in any place and are used only to support internal research and development work.
In addition, there may be marketing studies designed to better understand the User groups and characteristics of various devices and services, how these devices are used, and what additional and new data they may want. Marketing research is carried out by using the data of the Users who have given their consent to such use of information. The results of marketing research (such as trends in customer behavior, favorite sports and activities, etc.) may also be used when creating content for social media, blog posts, etc.
As a general rule, after the information has been cleaned of any exclusive personal identification characteristic, the Company may use the information collected to produce statistics, insights, conclusions, etc. The Company may also share these statistics with business partners from time to time, either for free or for a fee.
18. Maintaining the privacy of children under the age of 13
Our Company’s policy is to maintain User privacy and demonstrate responsibility as much as possible, therefore we do not authorize the use of, nor connection to, the Company’s services by minors under the age of 13. In all Company terms and conditions, we ask customers under the age of 13 not to make purchases and/or engage in other activities on the Company’s websites and/or apps. The Company does not collect information about children under the age of 13, and if it becomes clear that any User is under the age of 13, the Company will act to cancel the subscription and delete all information about the aforementioned User immediately.
19. Use of cookie files - Cookies
One of the most important web technologies designed to provide a more focused and personal User experience is called cookies. A cookie is basically a type of data from a website that is saved in the browser that was used while surfing the internet, so that the same website can access and use the same information saved in the cookie again at a later stage, so that when the User returns to the same website the next time, the same cookie automatically provides the same saved information in the browser and allows the site to display certain settings or content targeted specifically to that User. Cookies, for example, save data such as items in a shopping cart, Usernames and passwords for various forms and websites, which save the User from having to re-register for his or her account and enable direct access to the personal account, thus improving the User experience
As mentioned, cookies are very common on modern websites, and their purpose is to improve the User experience by collecting data regarding the website’s performance. VeVaio uses cookies and internet, mobile and targeted advertising techniques. When you enter the Company’s websites, including the VeVaio.com website, you will be asked to agree to the use of cookies. After we receive your approval, these methods will be used, among other things, to collect information about devices, applications and networks used by the Company, and can include, among other things, tracking your use of our services and products, and possibly also provide you with targeted advertising on our other sites or through our advertising partners. The analysis data will also be used to improve our services and future development and research to add additional services and products.
Some web browsers include a “do not track” feature. When used, this feature sends a signal to the online service that the User does not wish to be tracked. VeVaio services do not respond to “do not track” signals, but visitors to our site always have the choice to manually choose not to have cookies tracked during their visit.
20. AI capabilities regarding information about you
The Company uses artificial intelligence (AI) systems, and machine learning systems to analyze and process information received about the Users, and makes it optimally accessible to the relevant professionals and experts, in order to provide the services offered to you in the best possible manner.
With the help of artificial intelligence tools and other technological tools, deeper insights are obtained for the Users from the collected and processed information, including the ability to compare medical conditions against the desired margin for a particular age group/gender (benchmarks) and the like.
In general, the Company provides all of its business and private Users full access to the aforementioned insights in order to improve the service and the User experience of the Company’s services and products, and for the sake of maximum optimization of the decision-making system and the recommendations of the relevant professionals and experts, based on the information collected and processed with the aforementioned technological tools.
21. What happens when canceling and terminating a contract with the Company
Your right as a subscriber to the Company’s services is to terminate and cancel your monthly subscription to the services offered at any time of your choice.
As a general rule, for most of the Company’s products and services, the subscription is automatically renewed at the end of the contract period according to the terms of use, unless otherwise specified in the framework of a marketing campaign, granting of any benefits, etc.
In a case of cancellation of the monthly subscription by the User as mentioned above, all access privileges to the personal information granted to third parties and approved by the User will be canceled immediately and automatically upon termination of the contract with the Company.
The right to access information about you will be revoked for all permission holders, and will no longer exist, and by default, the information collected about you will be permanently deleted within 30 days from the time of canceling the aforementioned monthly subscription.
You have the right to choose that the personal information about you will be immediately deleted from the system permanently at the time of termination of the contract with the Company.
Information that is permanently deleted will not be recoverable if a User chooses to renew his or her subscription, the User will have to open a new account in the system that will start collecting the information from that point in time, without the ability to access the User’s data from the past and from previous accounts.
